Following the request for a sign and Jonah, the belly of the whale, and the three days and three nights, Jesus makes the following statements.

For better or for worse, "seek" and you will "find" something. Might this be a subtle authentication code about "Paul"? Where did Jesus use this word in Matthew? How about twice at the end of the last chapter.

Were these "beasts" actually "animals"? The Greek texts says that the "beasts" were "like" or "similar" to a description of an actual "animal". Might sufficiently advanced technology (e.g., "magic" according to Arthur C. Clarke) such as virtual reality provide such a "portrait" perception?

It appears that the "face" was very convincing but the "animals" were, like, just "like" the real thing.

The idea of being "clothed in righteousness" and the "garments" provided at the wedding feast provide one connection of the meaning of the "garment" in Matthew 9:16. Those "garments" can be "righteous" or "unrighteous" depending on the point of view.

Paraphrase: No one throws uncarded [ pure light ] on an old garment (righteousness) to complete it ... the rupture (schism) is made worse [pigs].

Might the play on words with "young swine" have any connection with the "young goats" in the parable of the "sheep" and "goats"?

The Greek word for "race" or "offspring" can be a play on words with "earth" and "new".
The ancient Greek word "γενεά""birth, race, generation, offspring" and "γένος""race, offspring" and is not limited to what today is called one "generation".

If the historical model of the seven churches, parables, beatitudes, etc., through church history since Jesus, applies, then the idea of "generation" goes beyond the forty (40) years from those who try to predict history and comings using that word.
