One way to say that something is a "good favor" is to say "thank you". This Greek word comes through Latin as "Eucharist". The Greek word for "favor" is often translated as "grace" or "joy". Jesus and Paul often say "thank you".

Thus, "thank you" as pronounced by pastor cowboy Greek is "you-carry-toe". This is the basis, through Latin, of the English word "eucharist" or "thank you".

Let us look at the parts of the word "thank you" in Greek as «ευχαριστώ».

The modern Greek word "ευλογία" (ev-lo-Y-a) ≈ "good words, blessing, praise".
The modern Greek word "εγκώμιο" (ehgh-KO-mee-o) ≈ "eulogy".

The modern Greek word "χάρη" (HA-ree) ≈ "favor, grace".

So the phrase "thank you" means, literally, "good grace" or "good favor". When you say "thank you" you are saying that what you are referring to is a "good grace" or "good favor" from the other person. Did Jesus give us a "good grace" or a "good favor"?

The "Eucharist" is the Biblical Greek way of saying "thank you".

The "Eucharist", or "communion" was instituted by Jesus at the Last Supper - which also has a connection to the birth of Jesus.
