Austerlitz (December 2, 1805), or Battle of the Three Emperors, is an excellent example. Another good example is
Lee at the battle of
Chancellorsville (April 30 to May 6, 1863) in the American Civil War (1861-1865). Both involved the ideas of
divide and
conquer.
