Remember world history and the dream of Nebuchadnezzar that was interpreted by Daniel.

Daniel 2:3

All

KJV: And the king said unto them, I have dreamed a dream, and my spirit was troubled to know the dream.

Hebrew: ויאמר להם המלך חלום חלמתי ותפעם רוחי לדעת את החלום׃

Greek: και ειπεν αυτοις ο βασιλευς ηνυπνιασθην και εξεστη το πνευμα μου του γνωναι το ενυπνιον

Geneva: And the King sayde vnto them, I haue dreamed a dreame, and my spirite was troubled to knowe the dreame.

The composition of the statue are:

gold head
silver arms and chest
bronze hips
iron legs
pedestal of stone

Chaldea (Abraham called to Canaan)
Egypt (Joseph from Canaan, Moses out of Egypt and back to Canaan)
Assyria (capitol Nineveh to whom Jonah was called)

Babylon (gold, the head, to which Daniel was taken)
Media-Persia (silver, the chest and arms, ram with two horns)
Greece (brass, belly and thigh, goat with one horn, not touching the ground, broken into four horns)
Rome (iron, legs for two parts, then later many parts, later mixed with clay)
Empire to never be destroyed - Jesus the rock.

Phillip's son is the next to last part, the goat with one great horn, which would be broken, and continue as four smaller horns. Daniel predicts this more than 200 years before.

Daniel 2:38

KJV: And wheresoever the children of men dwell, the beasts of the field and the fowls of the heaven hath he given into thine hand, and hath made thee ruler over them all. Thou art this head of gold.

Hebrew: ובכל די דארין בני אנשא חיות ברא ועוף שמיא יהב בידך והשלטך בכלהון אנתה הוא ראשה די דהבא׃

Greek: εν παντι τοπω οπου κατοικουσιν οι υιοι των ανθρωπων θηρια τε αγρου και πετεινα ουρανου εδωκεν εν τη χειρι σου και κατεστησεν σε κυριον παντων συ ει η κεφαλη η χρυση

Daniel 2:39

KJV: And after thee shall arise another kingdom inferior to thee, and another third kingdom of brass, which shall bear rule over all the earth.

Hebrew: ובתרך תקום מלכו אחרי ארעא מנך ומלכו תליתיא אחרי די נחשא די תשלט בכל ארעא׃

Greek: και οπισω σου αναστησεται βασιλεια ετερα ηττων σου και βασιλεια τριτη ητις εστιν ο χαλκος η κυριευσει πασης της γης

Daniel 2:40

All

KJV: And the fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron: forasmuch as iron breaketh in pieces and subdueth all things: and as iron that breaketh all these, shall it break in pieces and bruise.

Hebrew: ומלכו רביעיה תהוא תקיפה כפרזלא כל קבל די פרזלא מהדק וחשל כלא וכפרזלא די מרעע כל אלין תדק ותרע׃

Greek: και βασιλεια τεταρτη εσται ισχυρα ως ο σιδηρος ον τροπον ο σιδηρος λεπτυνει και δαμαζει παντα ουτως παντα λεπτυνει και δαμασει

Daniel 2:41

KJV: And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potters' clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay.

Hebrew: ודי חזיתה רגליא ואצבעתא מנהון חסף די פחר ומנהון פרזל מלכו פליגה תהוה ומן נצבתא די פרזלא להוא בה כל קבל די חזיתה פרזלא מערב בחסף טינא׃

Greek: και οτι ειδες τους ποδας και τους δακτυλους μερος μεν τι οστρακινον μερος δε τι σιδηρουν βασιλεια διηρημενη εσται και απο της ριζης της σιδηρας εσται εν αυτη ον τροπον ειδες τον σιδηρον αναμεμειγμενον τω οστρακω

Daniel 2:42

KJV: And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken.

Hebrew: ואצבעת רגליא מנהון פרזל ומנהון חסף מן קצת מלכותא תהוה תקיפה ומנה תהוה תבירה׃

Greek: και οι δακτυλοι των ποδων μερος μεν τι σιδηρουν μερος δε τι οστρακινον μερος τι της βασιλειας εσται ισχυρον και απ αυτης εσται συντριβομενον

Daniel 2:43

KJV: And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.

Hebrew: די חזית פרזלא מערב בחסף טינא מתערבין להון בזרע אנשא ולא להון דבקין דנה עם דנה הא כדי פרזלא לא מתערב עם חספא׃

Greek: οτι ειδες τον σιδηρον αναμεμειγμενον τω οστρακω συμμειγεις εσονται εν σπερματι ανθρωπων και ουκ εσονται προσκολλωμενοι ουτος μετα τουτου καθως ο σιδηρος ουκ αναμειγνυται μετα του οστρακου

Daniel 2:44

All

KJV: And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.

Hebrew: וביומיהון די מלכיא אנון יקים אלה שמיא מלכו די לעלמין לא תתחבל ומלכותה לעם אחרן לא תשתבק תדק ותסיף כל אלין מלכותא והיא תקום לעלמיא׃

Greek: και εν ταις ημεραις των βασιλεων εκεινων αναστησει ο θεος του ουρανου βασιλειαν ητις εις τους αιωνας ου διαφθαρησεται και η βασιλεια αυτου λαω ετερω ουχ υπολειφθησεται λεπτυνει και λικμησει πασας τας βασιλειας και αυτη αναστησεται εις τους αιωνας

Daniel had several dreams and interpretations about world history that appear to be closely related.

The repetition provides a form of fault tolerance in prophecy. This fault tolerance appears in other places in the Bible.

Babylon and Lion's Gate and Lion's Den.
Persia as the big bear.
Greece as the quick but small leopard frustrating and later bring down the big bear.

Antichrist as the "prince that shall come" from the people (Rome) that destroy the temple and city of Jerusalem.
Jesus in the Second Coming to set up a new heaven and a new earth. Thy kingdom come.
