Note: For now, this page has more questions than answers. In particular, how can reconcile certain differences and defined each of the relevant parts: heart, soul, strength/might, mind/understanding, etc.

KJV (King James Version) the words "
heart" and "
soul" appears together in
29 verses in the Old Testament
What exactly is the difference, keeping the Hebrew in mind, between the "
heart" and the "
soul"? The
LXX (Septuagint) words appear to repeat the same concepts, at least using words that are still used today.
This is a start at "
heart" and "
soul".

Deuteronomy 6:5 And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. [kjv]
