10. Context
So the most first most important part of Job is in the first few verses.
Time of Job.
Children and possessions of Job.
Cosmic viewpoint of God, Satan, etc.
Where else do we see this cosmic viewpoint?
Psalms 2 is one place (future coverage).
Matthew 13 (parable of tares) is another
11. Skip to the end
Let us now skip all the chapters of the suffering of Job, the bad-advice of his wife and so-called friends, and go to the very end of Job.
Note: There are a lot of interesting scientific observations in these chapters (e.g., dinosaurs, etc.).
12. Job 42:12
KJV: So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses.
13. Job 42:13
KJV: He had also seven sons and three daughters.
14. Counting: takeaway #2
So, from the beginning of chapter 1 and the end of chapter 42, let us count the blessings of Job, which were doubled.
Before:
7,000 sheep, 3,000 camels, 500 yoke of oxen
7 sons, 3 daughters
After:
14,000 sheep, 6,000 camels, 1,000 yoke of oxen
7 sons, 3 daughters
How did the count of animals change? How did the count of sons and daughters change? Were both doubled?
15. John 11:23
KJV: Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again.

KJV: Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

21. Job 42:17
KJV: So Job died, being old and full of days.
